Owners Niccola and Adrian may be familiar to some after spending most of their working lives at The Kaye Arms, Grange Moor. After leaving "The Kayes" in November 2007 they took a well deserved break from the catering industry but now they're back with their own ideas and flare that makes "The Dyeworks" the place to be in the area.
Adrian's passion as a Chef started at an early age and over the years has been heavily influenced by French cuisine during many holidays there. You'll see these inspirations menus. When he’s not in the kitchen, he can be found in our garden at home, planting, tending to, and picking the days crop. We use all our home grown produce in our dishes where we can - you’ll know ... Home grown tastes different!
Niccola is Ady's new Sous Chef. I say new - they've been married for over 30 years, so they have a head start in knowing what makes a great team. Nic can be seen on 'the pass' and she’s earned the title of "Queen of desserts" so be sure to leave room for pudd!
Then there’s Lauren, aka Daughter. After spending a couple of years living and working in New Zealand where she became a qualified coffee barista, Lauren has brought the flat white to Kirkburton and regards the coffee machine as her baby. It's not only coffee though, she enjoys a good glass of wine and takes much care & enthusiasm in creating a solid wine list, that changes frequently to keep you all on your toes! Lauren is usually found schmoozing with the customers, especially if they have so much as stepped foot in Kiwiland! Listen out for the accent as it creeps in occasionally!
